For the first time in the history of the huacas of Lima, a film program was implemented at the archaeological sites by the public initiative promoted by the Municipality of Lima to the Ministry of Culture that had been in place for two years.

Art and Archaeology Workshops
The Art and Archaeology Workshops were an educational platform designed to engage schools near archaeological sites with nearby heritage.
Discover and learn about the importance of the cultural heritage of their community, strengthening their identity and revaluing their local heritage. In 2012 and 2013, the "Art and Archaeology Workshop" program was held at archaeological sites in Metropolitan Lima. Students and teachers received workshops and materials with educational components based on history, experience and art. The spaces were renovated for a month during each workshop. The 2013 "Art and Archaeology Workshops" public program won an honorable mention in the IV Ibero-American Prize for Education and Museums "IBERMUSEOS".
